Oil Water Separator Testing Methods

There are many standards that pertain to oil water separators. Whichever ones you design or test for will determine the performance you would state your system will attain. The most popular separator design and test methods are UL SU-2215, API 421, EN 858-1. These design/tests confirm effluent performance of the separator being designed or tested. For sample testing of separator outlet concentrations the EPA-Method 1664 Revision A testing procedure can be used through a laboratory to verify performance.

EPA Method 1664 Revision A

1664 is a laboratory sample testing procedure replacing test procedure 413.1.
